e-MSPO Progress Update 2

The second progress update on the implementation of key modules under the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) certification system. As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing the MSPO framework, we are pleased to announce that the following modules will be go live on 30 June 2025:

 These modules are designed to significantly enhance user experience within the e-MSPO system, supporting a more efficient and transparent certification process and management.

Malaysia secures preferential market access for sustainable palm oil

Malaysia has achieved a major milestone in sustainable palm oil trade by securing preferential market access through the Malaysia-European Free Trade Association (EFTA) Economic Partnership Agreement (Meepa). Signed on June 23, 2025, the agreement grants reduced import tariffs for MSPO-certified palm oil products, reinforcing Malaysia’s commitment to sustainability and enhancing its global competitiveness. The deal also positions the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) certification as a central requirement, boosting international recognition and supporting deforestation-free supply chains.
