Exploring Dubai as the Potential hub for MSPO Certified Oil

MSPO Networking Session

MPOCC as an independent non-profit organisation was established in December 2014 to develop and operate the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) Certification Scheme.  Incorporated as a company under the Companies Act 1965, it is limited by guarantee.  MPOCC is governed by a Board of Trustees and started its operation in October 2015.

Being the latest addition to the Malaysian palm oil industry’s agency under the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities, MPOCC presents was almost invisible behind the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) and Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC). Often, the stakeholders especially from non-palm oil industry will mistakenly assuming MSPO is governed by MPOB. Obviously, the three agencies are working together towards the betterment of the Malaysian palm oil industry and pledges to promote Malaysian sustainable palm oil as a whole and focusing on MSPO scheme.

Hence, MPOCC is taking the advantage of having all stakeholders and prominent figures in one place during World Expo 2022 by organising a networking session to introduce MPOCC as the scheme owner of MSPO and to explore any potential partnership and collaboration in adopting, adapting and embracing the MSPO scheme.
