Freezing of new Certification Body application for Malaysian Sustainable palm oil standard

The Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil Standard (MSPO) is in progress of revision which is expected to be concluded by end of 2021. The final revised MSPO Standard will be one of the improved Standard in various aspects which need the subsequent documents to be in-line and able to address all the current shortcomings. Therefore, as a Scheme Owner, MPOCC will initiate System Document revision soon which will ensure all the requirement for the Certification Bodies (both new and accredited) will be reviewed accordingly.

To have a robust System Document in place and the timeline required to finalize the document(s), MPOCC has decided to freeze all new Certification Body application. Therefore, effective immediately, MPOCC will no longer accept any new application from the interested organisations intending to provide certification service under the MSPO Certification Scheme managed by MPOCC, until further notice. This decision has been communicated to Standards Malaysia and any new application hereafter will not be accepted.

This circular does not affect to those organization that have submitted the application to Standards Malaysia and obtained MPOCC’s approval.
