Announcement: HCV Assessors Recognised Under the MSPO Certification Scheme

In line with the launching of the revised MSPO standards (MS2530:2022), MPOCC is currently developing the High Conservation Value (HCV) Guidelines which is part of the requirements introduced in the revised MSPO standards. The HCV Guidelines is estimated to be completed early in the second half of year 2022.

As part of the process of developing the HCV Guidelines for MSPO, MPOCC is also developing a training programme for potential HCV assessors for MSPO. These assessors will be trained to conduct HCV assessments as per the requirement of the upcoming HCV guidelines.

Please be informed that as the process of developing the HCV Guidelines and training programme of the HCV assessors for MSPO is still in progress, MPOCC has not approved or endorsed any HCV assessment or HCV training by third parties. All MSPO certified organisations are requested to be patient and MPOCC will issue further announcements regarding the completion of the HCV Guidelines and any updates when there are further developments.
