PUBLICATION OF SPECIFIC GUIDANCE DOCUMENT ON MS 2530:2022 COMPLIANCE FOR NEW OIL PALM PLANTING ON SARAWAK NATIVE CUSTOMARY RIGHTS (NCR) LAND

The Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) is pleased to announce the official publication of the Specific Guidance Document on MS 2530:2022 Compliance of New Oil Palm Planting for Sarawak Native Customary Rights (NCR) Land, effective 7 July 2025.

This guidance document is developed to support the implementation of the MS 2530:2022 certification standards, specifically in ensuring that NCR land in the Sarawak region meets the necessary requirements for new oil palm planting in a sustainable and responsible manner.

Key objectives of this guidance include:

· Providing a clear procedural framework for new oil palm plantings on NCR land,

· Assisting in land status verification and differentiating NCR land from natural forests or other forest categories,

By offering this guidance, MSPO aims to support NCR land smallholders to participate in sustainable oil palm cultivation while ensuring alignment with national mandatory standards.
