Building on this foundation, the MSPO Impact Alliance was launched in September 2025 to bring together growers, processors, FMCG companies, financial institutions, international organisations and civil society to strengthen sustainability practices and drive continuous improvement. MSPO is also recognised internationally, being listed on the Standards Map of the International Trade Centre (ITC), a joint agency of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the United Nations (UN).
MSPO is acknowledged by the European Union as a credible and inclusive sustainability standard, backed by high-standard digital traceability to support EUDR compliance.

MSPO’s alignment with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) has been independently assessed by the European Forest Institute (EFI), confirming its credibility in meeting international sustainability and due diligence requirements.

MSPO is now officially listed on the ITC Standards Map, the UN/WTO global database of sustainability standards, reinforcing Malaysia’s commitment to sustainability, traceability, and responsible palm oil trade while enhancing international visibility and buyer confidence.

The UK TAC recognised the MSPO 2022 Standard as a mandatory, deforestation-free certification framework under Malaysia’s national system, ensuring low-risk and sustainable palm oil trade with the United Kingdom.

MSPO was named among the Top 10 finalists worldwide in the Sustainability Communications Awards by Reuters, recognising the e-MSPO initiative for transforming sustainability communication through verified data.

MSPO certification is a prerequisite for Malaysian palm oil exporters to qualify for reduced tariffs under the Malaysia–EFTA Economic Partnership Agreement (MEEPA), enabling smoother access to markets such as Switzerland, Norway, and other EFTA countries.

MSPO signed an MoU with the Global Alliance for Sustainable Supply Chain (ASSC) to strengthen Japan cooperation, expanding access to ESG-conscious buyers seeking certified, community-backed supply.

MSPO is officially accepted as a certified palm oil scheme under Expo 2025 Osaka’s sustainable sourcing guidelines, reinforcing its role as a trusted platform for responsible sourcing in high-standard global events.

The certification status of MSPO-certified entities can be verified through the IAF CertSearch platform, ensuring global credibility, consistency, and trust.
